Air travel of course is the most expensive cost if compare with other travel, such as land and sea travel. But now, this opinion is not valid again. Now, air travel not always expensive.There is new breakthrough to get cheap air travel. What it is? Of course LCC. What is LCC? LCC is low cost carrier. it means you can traveling by plane with low cost. LCC is also often referred as Budget Airlines, or no frills flight or Discounter Carrier. LCC is unique flight model strategy with decrease in operating cost. With cost efficiency in all, airlines do things outside the company in general practice, if general airlines do to addition of services that have value added with the addition of catering, provision of newspaper or magazine, in flight entertainment,in flight shop, lounge, free taxi after landing, frequent flier exclusive services, and others. Opposite with it, Low cost carrier airlines do eliminate traditional service with a reduction in catering, minimize reservation through IT technology so that service appears to be simple and quick. Services that minimize this result in terms of cost reduction, but the safety factor has been fixed to ensure the safety of passengers to the destination. LCC is  aviation business that provides an affordable ticket price and minimalist aircraft service.Basically the product is always offered low cost principles to press operational cost so that it can drag class down market segment more broadly.Beginning of the first low cost carrier is pioneered by Southwest airlines that established by Rollin King, Lamar Muse and Herber Kelleher in 1967. Southwest phenomenon become very interesting business phenomenon that discussed in Harvard university and kind of business schools in the world. Efficiency that to do is from the cover price (cheap), technology, cost structure, the route to various operational equipment that used.

The success of Southwest are imitated by many other airlines like Vanguard, America West, Kiwi Air, Ryanair who stood in 1990, Easyjet standing in 1995, Shuttle (a subsidiary of United Airlines), MetroJet (a subsidiary of USAir),Delta Express (a subsidiary of Delta )and Continental Lite (subsidiary of Continental Airlines). Step of Low cost carrier  also imitated in Asia with the emergence of Air Asia in  2000 that have office in Malaysia, Virgin Blue in Australia, while in Indonesia was established Lion Air and Wings Air is a subsidiary of Lion Air.

There is the LFC concept become very beneficial for prospective consumers, because consumers are exposed to the option of using air travel with cheaper cost and faster. Often the cost much cheaper if compare with land travel such as by bus or train that takes longer time.

The development of business aviation in the future still has serious challenge, considering the price of fuel (Avtur), that increased year to year become the greatest component cost in total operating cost in aviation aircraft business  beside maintenance. Automatic with increase of cost operation, airlines are forced to raise rates. So to the future, likely only associate with the pattern of LCC will be more able to survive if compared with traditional pattern airlines. Because many people like cheap cost and safety travel.
