Visit To Khao Lak - Thailand

khao-lak-beachKhao Lak located is in southern Thailand, including in Takua Pa district, Phang Nga province which can be reached by car for approximately one hour from Phuket airport (approximately 100km). Khao Lak beach divided in some, most south of Nang Thong Beach, further north again to Bang Niang and last Pakweeb. The largest nearby city of Khao Lak is Takua Pa. But Khao Lak also has it’s central with named Khao Lak City. Khao Lak itself actually has its own name but because the location is very close to the Khao Lak National Park, so named in order to make it easy identified by foreign tourists.

From Nang Thong, you can go to Khao Lak National Park as most near recreation place, a forest elephant towards the waterfall followed by kayaking, or visit to Phuket for shopping. Simply go the nearest agent because they offer price and package that not much different.

After stay at Thong Nang, you can moved to Bang Niang. Bang Niang beach is more beautiful than Nang Thong if seem from water quality and it’s sand are more far soft and white. However, Bang Niang does not haveĀ  forest and cliffs that can be seen at the beach like when we saw at Nang Thong. Bang Niang located quite far from Khao Lak City. Take about 40 minutes to reach it.

Bang Niang also have local market that open 2 times a week, namely on Wednesday and Saturday in the afternoon. Sold in this market a variety of merchandise ranging from pie, vegetables, meat and fresh fish. clothing, souvenirs, toys and more. The price is really local price and local bargaining, of course, remains open (except for food). This market is also one of tour destination that must visited.

For you are who dive and snorkeling lover, Khao Lak Similan Islands offer as tourist attractions. From where you stay you will be met with a car that will take you to the port near Takua Pa. and from there will beĀ  ship that will take you to the Similan.

Bang Niang also has small museum that recording memories of tsunami in 2004, along with a store that sells craft items made by those who survived from the disaster. Sales used to help the residents rebuild their homes and businesses.

The north coast is Khao Lak Pakweeb, practical only inhabited some hotels and restaurants. It’s quite far from Khao Lak City so that average people who stay around the beach will rent a motorcycle as a means of transportation. Overall beach in Khao Lak can explore by walking along with more than 17 km.

Khao Lak is very quiet and deserted when compared to Phuket. If you’re looking for holiday noisy scene, this place is not the right place for you. But for you who lover the beach and beautiful nature, this place become pity to miss.
