National Mall is landmark of USA capital city. National Mall located in the ‘crossing’ Capitol Building - Lincoln Memorial and the White House - Jefferson Memorial. Capitol building, located in the end of eastern dealing with Lincoln Memorial on the west edge. While the White House is in the north edge and in the south edge is Jefferson Memorial. In the ‘middle’ there is Washington Monument. Located at the west end of the National Mall and the east end there is constitution Gardens that connecting with Lincoln Memorial.
National Mall and Memorial Parks is the central meeting in Washington DC. Pierre L’Elfant was designed in 1791. The width is 400 feet (120 meters) and long 1 mile (1.6 kilometers), surrounded by gardens with old types of plants are protected. Around 2000 Elm trees (native American) planted around it. There is also 3000 Japanese cherry tree (sakura flower).
In National Mall and Memorial Parks area, stood various museums and art galleries, government offices. Beside Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial, there is also Franklin D Rosevelt Memorial, WWII Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial. In this area also located Museum of Modern Art (Moma), National Gallery, Smithsonian Museum. Capitol building is part of the landmark Capitol Hill office with the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, marine barracks, Washington Navy Yard, tombs, and other government offices.
National Mall and Memorial Parks area is often used for the commitment of freedom and similarity.
